about us

Calvary Chapel Cincinnati is a church in Fairfield, Ohio with a vision to see people know Jesus, follow Jesus, and live for Jesus.  We exist to shine the light of the gospel into a world blinded by sin that all might discover the promise of life and liberty that is in Christ Jesus.

Brian Hill

Senior Pastor

Born and raised in a small town in Western New York, Brian understood hardship and hard work from a young age due to a difficult upbringing.  As he grew into adulthood, he enjoyed a successful business career that led Brian to quickly climb the corporate ladder, which culminated in 2012.  That year, the Lord called Brian and his young family to Cincinnati as he was promoted to a VP of a Fortune 500 Company.  Brian had attended Calvary Chapel in NY for several years and made getting plugged into CC Cincinnati an early priority.

While continuing to serve in various roles at CC Cincinnati, everything from sound ministry to teaching teenagers, Brian was told by God in 2015 that he would one day be a pastor full-time for the Lord.  "I had no ambitions or plans to be a pastor.  I was very successful in my business career.  However I've learned there is no better place to be than the center of God's will, no matter how challenging it may seem!"

In 2018 Brian answered the call to resign from his corporate career and become Calvary Chapel Cincinnati's Senior Pastor.  "I've never once regretted or looked back on my business career.  The Lord used it to prepare me and humble me to serve Him and His people."

Brian has been married to his wife Kim for 16 wonderful years and they have 2 amazing kids.

Luigi Cosenza

Assistant Pastor

Luigi, a first-generation Italian American, was born in Santa Barbara, California. Raised by "old school" immigrant parents, he quickly learned the importance of sacrifice, hard work, devotion, and family. As a young man, he embraced these values and married his high school sweetheart, Ruby, becoming a father to a daughter and a son while still in his teenage years.

In 1994, Luigi and Ruby faced marital challenges that led them to surrender their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. Over the years, their family grew and flourished as they committed themselves to serving the Lord through various ministries, including home fellowships, children's ministries, and outreach to the homeless.

In 1999, Luigi was called to serve as an Assistant Pastor at Calvary Chapel Palm Springs. His ministry expanded to include leadership of the High School Youth Group and chaplaincy at the Indio Juvenile Hall Detention Center.

However, in 2002, Luigi faced a challenging period when he temporarily stepped down from ministry due to personal struggles. This difficult road back was marked by lessons in God's forgiveness, grace, mercy, restoration, and love. It was a period of spiritual growth and transformation.

Today, Luigi and Ruby are humbly dedicated to serving the Lord and their community. Their journey together has been blessed, and they recently celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary. They take joy in their two wonderful adult children and cherish their role as grandparents to three beautiful grandchildren.

Our Vision

Our vision is to serve the city of Fairfield and surrounding areas by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Mission

Our mission is in accordance with Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Local missions-Calvary Chapel Cincinnati has partnered with various local ministries to support Fairfield and surrounding areas, including becoming a Disaster relief site for the local Red Cross.

We are dedicated to domestic missions as well, serving throughout America in locations such as Texas, Florida, Louisiana, and many others as we look to love others through serving them.

Calvary Chapel congregants also serve internationally, serving in Haiti, Honduras, the Philippines and other locations.

Calvary supports many other missions that have sprung forth from our congregation and other missions who are dedicated to spreading the gospel.

Calvary Kids

Our vision is to come alongside parents, in their God-given responsibility and blessing taught in Deuteronomy 6:6-9 and Proverbs 22:6, to “Train up a child in the way he should go.” Our Calvary Kids teachers and ministry leaders are trained to assist in your children’s growth in their knowledge and understanding of our fundamental Christian truths, love and faith (Ephesians 3:17-19).

As parents are taught in the main sanctuary, the children are taught at their level of understanding in each classroom (Nehemiah 8:1-3) using the Answers in Genesis curriculum. Included in each lesson are innovative and interactive games, crafts and worship, which help reinforce the week’s lesson and encourage memorization. Every classroom is specifically designed to spiritually reach the heart of a child, with opportunities for individual salvation, even at a young age.

As a ministry, we desire to see every child have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We pray every child will commit their lives to Christ (Romans 10:9-10, 13). In fact, many children make first time commitments and receive Jesus Christ into their hearts while attending Sunday school services at Calvary Chapel.

Throughout a child’s Calvary Kids experience, their development and growth continues as they are discipled and equipped to become witnesses to their families and friends (2 Peter 3:18). Our ultimate prayer is for each child to grow in the Lord and impact our world for Jesus Christ, as we are all called to fulfill the great commission found in Matthew 28:18-20.

Women's Ministry

The vision of the Women’s Ministry is to help each woman grow in her passion for God as she learns, through prayer & study of His Word, the depth of His love and Holiness, His power and total sufficiency to meet her every need.  Our vision is to encourage each woman to be a support to her family and the Body of Christ, and to become a woman of prayer and a woman that continually abides in Christ and bears much fruit.

We pray that each woman will be open to instruction and guidance to stand steadfast in her faith through real-life situations. As a godly role model, we pray that she will be confident in the future, placing her trust in the One and Only God Who Sees. We pray that she will be content in who she is as a woman, and will become secure in her home and her church, passing on her godly traits to those who are younger, following behind her. (Titus 2:3-5)

Men's Ministry

The Men’s Ministry of Calvary Chapel Cincinnati is focused on helping men grow in their God-given roles and to encourage and exhort one another toward maturity in Christ. Our desire is to provide men with the opportunity to grow in their walk with the Lord Jesus Christ by applying Biblical principles to the issues that are important in the lives of men. We do this by offering teaching, fellowship, and other activities that will draw men closer to God and to each other. Our objective as a Men’s Ministry is to help men mature spiritually by grounding them in God’s Word, by providing opportunities to build accountability with other men, and by offering ways in which they may serve the Lord. In this way they can be examples of His love to their family, friends, co-workers and to the community.
